Seems like it takes forever… then it happens

Seems like it takes forever to get there... then when it happens, it happens quickly... almost like a door you’ve been knocking on forever suddenly swings open and you simply walk through it and everything happens... everything you’ve worked for, earned, fought for is there waiting for you... and the man you’ve worked so hard to become (or uncover) is there, staring back at you smiling as if to say, “Oh hey, you’re here. It’s about time. C’mon in. We’ve been waiting for you.”

The past couple of months have moved at light speed... but have been years in the making. After much knocking... the door opened... and I walked through.
