You always have choice… so choose wisely.
Let’s talk about choice for a second. Now, you might think this is a little “woo woo” or you may agree and say, “Oh, I hear you B. ” either way... this is my story and I’m sticking to it.
Shakespeare said there is nothing good or bad but thinking makes it so.
Last year was a humbling reminder of the power of energy, belief, alignment, your vibe, that thoughts become things, and the absolute truth that “life comes back in the same way you put out.”
Here is my take away (which is a nice way of saying here is the hard earned lesson, wisdom, and experience gained from the cosmic ass beating that was 2020) … so get your popcorn and pen kids, you may want to write this down...
While we may not always have control of our surroundings, people, or situation…. We always have CHOICE.
Every day you wake up and you choose your mindset, perception, or outlook. You choose whether to get caught up in the bad stuff or choose to see the opportunity and the good around you.
Whichever you choose … that is often all you see. It permeates your being, your attitude, personality, speech. It is in the vibe you give off. People see and feel it. Either way, it’s infectious… pro or con.
Last night I read this passage in a book of essays by Raphael Bob Waksburg. The context doesn’t matter, but I thought it so fitting for these times and spoke to the one thing we have control over... choice.
“Life is terrifying and overwhelming and it can happen at any moment. And when you’re confronted with life you can either be cowardly or you can be brave, but either way, you’re going to live. So you might as well be brave.”
Bam! Choice!!!
This isn’t to say you won’t have moments or backslide… I mean seriously people, “this shit isn’t easy” ... we’re human after all!!!
Yet, You’re here…. You woke up today... The sun will rise and set regardless of what you do… and either way “you’re going to live”, so might as well choose wisely.
Choose love, Choose bravery, Choose respect, Choose truth, Choose to be present, Choose kindness, Choose connection, Choose to learn, Choose strength, Choose Action, Choose to forgive, Choose faith, Choose happiness, Choose magic.
